| A bit about myself:- I matriculated from Klerksdorp Technical High in 1977, the following year I went to work as an apprentice electrician at the Hartebeesfontein Gold Mine. during which I did my 2 year army stint in the Infantry, I was fortunate to do what I love best, driving, mostly Buffels and Ratels. After 10 years at the Mines I moved to Natal and lectured (app. electricians) in Durban for 13 years, and then returned to what I love the most, rebuilding V8's. I now live in Amanzimtoti on the Natal South Coast. V8's are in my blood. my first car was given to me by my Dad, it was a 1968 Ford Fairlane V8 289 Windsor, C4 Auto, my Dad bought it virtually new in Durban while we were on a caravanning holiday. Once the V8 bug hits you it never leaves, its my hobby, its my job, its my life. I am also very lucky in that my wife Barbara and my children, Lance, Grant and Cindy are all also V8 crazy. Over the years I have collected an enormous amount of spares, both new and used, badges, lights, lenses, trimmings, engines, gearboxes etc etc, so many in fact that I need to sell a lot of them to clear space. |
